Have you ever thought where these old US fighter jets go to die? You have no idea, right? Because you only think about yourself! Jokes apart there is a place called “The Boneyard” in Tucson, Arizona. This place was built after World War II and has a capacity to store about 4,000 aircraft, which makes this place one of its kind in the world. This place was chosen for a very specific reason which was the fact that the Southwestern United States has very low humidity and because of that the metal doesn’t corrode. On average, this place is responsible for sending back approximately $500 million worth of spare parts to the US government.
